Fort Wagner was a Confederate defensive stronghold during the American Civil War located in Charleston Harbor, South Carolina. The fort no longer stands, so this page is designated as a memorial to the American soldiers both North and South who fought and died here. There is limited access to general areas where the Federal armies were positioned on the north end of Folly Beach and just south of the Morris Island Lighthouse.
