๐ข Flood Recovery Resources Available at the King Center
The Martin Luther King Jr. Community Center is available for residents impacted by the August 16 flooding to pick up cleaning and recovery supplies. We are also accepting donations of needed supplies to help our community recover.
When visiting the King Center, you may enter through either the front doors or the doors to the gym.

Residents impacted by flooding can pick up cleaning and recovery supplies at the Charleston, WV Parks and Recreation Martin Luther King Jr. Community Center during regular operating hours or call WV211 at 2-1-1.
Want to help? Cleaning and recovery supplies can also be donated at the King Center. Current needs include:

The Refuse Department is running two separate trucksโone for regular household trash and another specifically for flood debris.

The more residents who complete the survey, the more complete the picture of storm damage across Charleston will be. This information will help local and state emergency management teams assess the overall impact of the flooding and identify community needs.
