🧹 NEED CLEANING SUPPLIES?
Residents impacted by flooding who need cleaning and recovery supplies should call WV211 at 2-1-1. Our storm response team will coordinate getting supplies to residents who need them.

🤝 WANT TO DONATE SUPPLIES?
Cleaning and recovery supply donations can now be dropped off at United Way of Central WV, 1 United Way Square.
Drop-Off Hours:
Monday–Thursday: 8 AM - 4 PM
Friday: 8 AM - 2 PM

Please note: Cleaning supplies pickup and donation drop-off are no longer available at the Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Center.

📢 Flood Recovery Resources Available at the King Center

The Martin Luther King Jr. Community Center is available for residents impacted by the August 16 flooding to pick up cleaning and recovery supplies. We are also accepting donations of needed supplies to help our community recover.

When visiting the King Center, you may enter through either the front doors or the doors to the gym.

🧹 CLEANING & RECOVERY SUPPLIES
Residents impacted by flooding can pick up cleaning and recovery supplies at the Charleston, WV Parks and Recreation Martin Luther King Jr. Community Center during regular operating hours or call WV211 at 2-1-1.

Want to help? Cleaning and recovery supplies can also be donated at the King Center. Current needs include:
🔸 Bottled water 🔸 5-gallon buckets 🔸 Disinfectant cleaner 🔸 Flathead shovels 🔸 Fans and dehumidifiers 🔸 Heavy-duty trash bags 🔸 Work gloves 🔸 Paper towels 🔸 Mops 🔸

🗑️ HOUSEHOLD TRASH + FLOOD DEBRIS
The Refuse Department is running two separate trucks—one for regular household trash and another specifically for flood debris.

The more residents who complete the survey, the more complete the picture of storm damage across Charleston will be. This information will help local and state emergency management teams assess the overall impact of the flooding and identify community needs.

As the summer season comes to a close, our community center pool schedules will be changing.

📅 Last Day of Regular Pool Hours: Sunday, August 16.

After August 16, the following late-season (weekend-only) hours will be in effect:

Saturdays: 12:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.
Sundays: 2:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.

🌊 Final Day of the 2026 Pool Season: Sunday, September 6
