The West VirginiaDepartment of Human Services (DoHS) acknowledges the significant challenges that Family Support Centers face when planning for a new fiscal year without definitive funding announcements. We are currently managing budget constraints related to Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) funds. To maintain the fiscal accountability required of our agency and our grantees, DoHS must work carefully to ensure that all program allocations remain within sustainable budgetary limits.

To thoroughly evaluate the funding levels needed to operate within the TANF budget, DoHS is extending all current Family Support Center (FSC) grants for a fifth quarter. This extension will ensure your operations continue uninterrupted while we finalize long-term budgetary decisions.

We appreciate Family Support Centers continued commitment to serving the families of West Virginia. Thank you for your professional cooperation as we uphold our fiscal responsibilities to the taxpayers.
