This past week, our Mounted Patrol Unit joined law enforcement agencies from across South Carolina as Governor Henry McMaster signed Fargo’s Law.

Named in honor of a fallen police K-9, the new law provides increased protections for police K-9s and mounted horses, along with stronger penalties for those who intentionally harm them.

This legislation recognizes the vital role these animals play in public safety and helps ensure greater protection for our four-legged partners who serve alongside us every day.
