Today we celebrate and recognize the rich culture, traditions, and history behind Cinco de Mayo. At C.A.R.E. Academy, we are proud to serve families from many different backgrounds, and we especially want to acknowledge and celebrate the families in our community who observe this special day.

Learning about different cultures helps our children grow in understanding, respect, and appreciation for the world around them. Through simple conversations, music, food, colors, and traditions, we create opportunities for children to explore diversity in meaningful and joyful ways.

Small Groups, Big Skills! ✋🧵

Our young learners are strengthening their fine motor skills through small group activities that build coordination, focus, and independence. Today, children are threading beads, carefully using their fingers and hands to complete a task that supports the muscles they will later use for writing, buttoning, zipping, and everyday self-help skills.

Small group learning is especially powerful because it allows teachers to provide individual attention, guidance, and encouragement while observing each child’s progress. In these moments, children feel supported, confident, and motivated to try new challenges at their own pace.

At C.A.R.E. Academy, we know that strong fine motor skills are a critical part of school readiness. Activities like this help develop patience, concentration, and problem-solving—skills that set the stage for success in the classroom and beyond.

C.A.R.E. Academy could not do what we do without our wonderful teachers! Each day, our educators show up with dedication, patience, creativity, and love for every child and family we serve. They are the heart of our classrooms and the reason our children feel safe, supported, and ready to learn.

Our teachers wear many hats—they are educators, nurturers, role models, problem-solvers, and champions for our children’s success. From comforting little ones to preparing our older learners for kindergarten, their impact reaches far beyond the classroom.

Our 4K scholars are hard at work building strong math skills through hands-on learning! 🔢✏️

Today, our children are practicing number recognition, number formation, and fine motor development using reusable learning boards and dry-erase markers. These engaging activities allow them to explore, make mistakes, try again, and grow their confidence in a fun and meaningful way.

In 4K, we believe learning should be active, purposeful, and developmentally appropriate. Activities like this help prepare our children for kindergarten by strengthening focus, independence, and problem-solving skills—while still keeping learning joyful.

There’s Nothing Like Building Friendships! 💛

From trike rides to train play, from sharing smiles to helping a friend balance—these everyday moments are where lifelong connections begin.

In Early Childhood Education, social and emotional skills are just as important as learning letters and numbers. When children play together, they learn how to communicate, cooperate, solve problems, show kindness, and build confidence. These skills help children succeed not only in school, but in life.

Friendships teach children how to take turns, encourage one another, and celebrate each other’s successes. Whether they are riding together, exploring the playground, or working as a team, they are learning how to be part of a community.

At C.A.R.E. Academy, we are intentional about creating opportunities for children to connect, build relationships, and develop strong social-emotional skills every day. These small moments of play are laying the foundation for empathy, teamwork, and resilience.
