On June 19, Heritage Woods of Charleston joins communities across the nation in recognizing Juneteenth, a day that commemorates the end of slavery in the United States and celebrates freedom, resilience, and progress.

Juneteenth is an opportunity to reflect on our shared history, honor the contributions of African Americans, and celebrate the values of equality, respect, and unity that help strengthen our communities.

As we recognize this important day, we encourage meaningful conversations, learning, and appreciation for the diverse experiences and stories that have shaped our nation.

Mark your calendars for Thursday, June 18th and stop by Morton Park in Charleston from 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM (or until we run out!) for a delicious lunch benefiting the Alzheimer’s Association.

Enjoy:
🌭 Hot Dog or Chili Dog
🥔 Chips
🍪 Cookie
🥤 Drink

Lunch is just $5/$6, and 100% of the proceeds will be donated to the Alzheimer’s Association to support research, care, and advocacy for those affected by Alzheimer’s disease.

Today, June 14, Heritage Woods of Charleston proudly celebrates Flag Day and honors the American flag as a symbol of our nation's history, unity, freedom, and resilience.

Many of our residents have lived through remarkable moments in our country's history and have personal stories that remind us of the sacrifices and values represented by the Stars and Stripes. Today, we reflect on those memories and express our gratitude to all who have served and contributed to the strength of our nation.
