Attorney General JB McCuskey and a bipartisan coalition of 48 attorneys general are pushing the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) to strengthen its “Know Your Upstream Provider” (KYUP) requirements to help prevent scammers from using the U.S. phone network to make illegal robocalls.

KYUP rules require voice service providers to ensure that they receive calls from legitimate and responsible providers and do not regularly pass through lots of illegal calls.

Attorney General JB McCuskey announced today he is asking the U.S. Supreme Court to reverse a devastating inflationary Biden-era EPA air quality regulation that has raised costs for West Viriginia manufacturers, utilities and farmers.

Leading a 25-state coalition with Kentucky Attorney General Russell Coleman, General McCuskey argues the overly stringent standards wouldn’t improve public health but will raise costs and could effectively block new economic activity or job creation in large parts of the country.
