Day 3 of is a wrap, with tons of additional unique training and activity.

Train derailments w/chemical spill, mass casualty incident, still water boat rescue operations, and animal rescue and decon, all while the folks at the West Virginia National Guard Joint Operations Center and the West Virginia Emergency Management Division State Emergency Operations Center kept frantic pace with developing injects of the fast-paced exercise.

Day 2 of saw several scenario-driven events overlap at the West Virginia All Hazards Training Center in Fola, WV.

Firefighters from the WVNG 130th Airlift Wing, 167th Airlift Wing - West Virginia Air National Guard, OHNG 178th Wing and local fire departments focused on search and extraction at the brand new close-quarters S&E structure.

Day 1 of Vigilant Guard has kicked off and is in full swing!

Operations are happening currently at Fola in Clay County, the West Virginia National Guard Joint Operations Center (JOC) in Charleston, the West Virginia Emergency Management Division State Emergency Operations Center (SEOC) in Dunbar, and the "White Cell" for exercise command and control in Julian.
