In honor of ME-A 2608 graduating today, let’s highlight them earning something very few classes ever receive: the Commanding Officer's Pennant.
A pennant in ME-A School is an honor “streamer” attached to a class guidon, recognizing exceptional performance. Most classes graduate without one of these pennants. The Commanding Officer's Pennant is reserved for classes that truly distinguish themselves through their professionalism, leadership, physical fitness, teamwork, discipline, and character. This pennant was personally given to them by the Commanding Officer of the USCG Maritime Law Enforcement Academy, Captain Corbett.
This isn't a pennant earned by one person, it's earned by an entire class that consistently demonstrates what it means to become the next generation of Coast Guard Maritime Enforcement Specialists.
Congratulations 2608. You've set the standard, and you should be incredibly proud. Semper Paratus!
