We are excited to announce that the UC Adventure Guide is now an award-winning publication. The guide earned four Communicator Awards, including an Award of Excellence for Overall Design and an Award of Distinction for its companion video.

The Adventure Guide is our flagship student experience publication, featuring nearly 100 adventures for students to explore on campus, throughout Charleston, and across the Mountain State.

At its heart, the guide is about helping students discover the experiences that define life at UC. Thank you to everyone who helped tell that story. 🦅

Sissonville High School would like to thank Kanawha County Schools' Superintendent Dr. Paula Potter for supporting our Sissonville High School Softball team at the WVSSAC Softball State Tournament last week! 🥎

Dr. Potter was in attendance throughout the tournament, and as the sole school from Kanawha County, we know she was there just for us. ❤️

🎉The SHS Girls Track Team finished 9thin Class AA at the WV State Track Meet in Charleston. This marks the first top ten finish since 2003.

🏃‍♀️Makinley Britton led team scoring with 21.5 points, followed by Samantha Smolder with 6.75 points. Makinley Britton won individual titles in the 100m & 200m Dash and finished 4th in “high point” for the meet.

‼️In addition, the 4x100m Relay Team of Makinley Britton, Rylie Haynes, Grace Samples & Samantha Smolder established a new school record with a time of 51.17 seconds. The previous record of 51.95 seconds was posted by Makinley Britton, Lydia Oxley, Zailee Roberts & Grace Samples in 2024.

Sissonville defeats Midland Trail to stay alive in the 2026 WVSSAC Softball State Tournament! 🥎

Your Lady Indians will advance in the elimination bracket. According to the current WVSSAC bracket, they will play in the next round tomorrow morning at 10:30 AM. This is subject to change. 🚩
