Coles County Social Service Navigators

The Coles County Social Service Navigator program was founded in the midst of a global pandemic with the mission to help our community find, understand, and obtain assistance. We are eternally grateful to the Southeastern Illinois Community Foundation for funding this program via Covid-19 grant funds thus giving us the opportunity to create and run this program. As the Charleston Carnegie Public Library, our ultimate goal is to help our community in any way we can, and we are so glad that we were able to run this program for as long as we did. It is with heavy hearts we announce the closing of the Coles County Social Service Navigator program. The Library will continue to help community members as much as we can, and the Library will continue to distribute Dial-a-Ride tokens to those in need. While this program’s time has come to an end, the Charleston Carnegie Public Library will never stop working to aid and help our community.

Coles County Health Department is moving. The only services that are staying at their current location are SACIS and ADDUS.

We're looking forward to Healthy Cents returning in November with a new workshop for adults that covers topics such as saving money at the grocery store, applying shopping strategies, and making healthy food choices. All are welcome. There is no cost to attend and no registration needed.
