It was a pleasure hosting Ellen Heinz, West Virginia’s new Economic Development Administration (EDA) Representative, in the Eastern Panhandle!

We are incredibly grateful to Ellen for taking the time to visit Region 9, connect directly with our regional stakeholders, and dive into the exciting economic momentum building across our communities.

Her visit included a productive roundtable bringing together each of our local County Development Authority Directors to discuss shared priorities, strategic infrastructure needs, and future economic development opportunities across the region.

To round out the visit, we took a tour of the new Plastics Lab at Blue Ridge Community and Technical College. Seeing this facility firsthand was a powerful reminder of what federal-regional partnerships can achieve—the lab’s state-of-the-art equipment was made possible through EDA funding, directly supporting workforce training and advanced manufacturing growth right here in West Virginia.

Thank you, Ellen, for your dedication to supporting our local communities. Region 9 looks forward to a strong, ongoing partnership with the EDA as we continue to drive economic growth and opportunity across the Eastern Panhandle!

Jobs & Hope WV was at the Business Connect & Resource Expo at Purple Iris in Martinsburg!

Events like the Eastern Panhandle Entrepreneur Forum (EPEF) bring together the people and resources that help West Virginia businesses—and the people they employ—move forward.
