Every Thursday at 10:30 a.m., our activity room becomes a center of activity, reading and fun for Allison's visitors. Imagination Storytime is a grand adventure for all who attend and a wonderful way to introduce little ones to the world that awaits them in their community library.

With all of the tears being shed this week by kids facing the last day of school, you can help cheer them up with a trip to the Charles Town Library. Next week is the start of the 2026 Summer Reading Program, "Unearth a Story," with a secondary theme of the 250th anniversary of the founding of the United States of America. Wow, that's a lot, right?

In Jefferson County, there is a group of people who we encourage, support and respect as much as anyone we serve. Our teachers are essential to the education and growth of our children and we have an amazing collection of resources to assist them in their work. This is Teacher Appreciation Week, but our appreciation is year round.
