The Pittsburgh Watercolor Society (PWS) presents the WaterWorks 2024, our members only exhibit. This wonderful show including the works of 38 Member Artists features new works in watercolor and other water media. The show is live and in person at the at the Latrobe Art Center, 819 Ligonier Street, Latrobe, PA 15650 https://www.latrobeartcenter.org/ and online www.pittsburghwatercolorsociety.com.The works in the exhibit represent a variety of styles and uses of water-based media created by 38 of our members. Join us for the artists’ reception and awards presentation on Saturday, April 27 from 2 to 4:00PM. Free!

CHAS Class of '71 50th Reunion Postponed!

Due to the recent spike in new COVID cases, we have received several emails and calls regarding the safety of our upcoming reunion. As the number of cases continue to increase, our core committee and members are concerned that masks will once again be mandated, restaurants may have restrictions or be shut down again.

We have given this situation a lot of thought. And, we don’t want to risk losing any more classmates due to this. As much as we want to get together and see all of you, we feel that it is in the best interest of all to postpone the reunion until we get past this latest crisis.

We will keep you updated as plans progress.

Clara Lou Pascoe 67 of Speers, passed away on Wednesday July 7, 2021 at UPMC Montifore. Born in N. Charleroi on October 18, 1953, she was the daughter of the late Paul and Delphine Sance Pennline.
Clara Lou was a 1971 graduate of Charleroi High School and received her Bachelor's and Master's degrees from California University. She was the Executive Director of Fayette County Community Foundation. Clara Lou was a member of St. Andrew the Apostle Church Charleroi. She enjoyed being out in nature hiking, spending time with her grandchildren and was a big fan of the WVU Mountaineers.
Clara Lou is survived by her 2 sons and daughters-in-law; Gary and Karen Pascoe of Denver,CO and Brady and Jennifer Pascoe of Washington,PA, 4 grandchildren; Esme, Kenzie, Dante and Lukas, her brother and sister-in-law Peter and Sally Pennline of Charleroi and niece and nephew; Jennifer Pennline and Brian Pennline.
Receiving of friends will take place at Melenyzer Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, Inc. 1008 Furlong Ave., Roscoe on Saturday July 17, 2021 from 10:00am-11:00am at which time a Memorial Service will begin at 11:00am. with Rev. Candace Cook officiating. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial donations be give to the www.oralcancerfoundation.donordrive.com or www.contribute.heinzhistorycenter.org
