What a fantastic day on the course! It’s hard to believe our Golf Fun Day was already a week ago. Thank you to everyone who participated, sponsored, volunteered, and helped make this event such a success.

🌦️🍓 Farmers Market Update 🍞🌽

As of now, we are still planning to hold Farmers Market tonight from 4:00–6:00 PM. We are keeping a close eye on Mother Nature (who apparently didn't get the memo that it's Farmers Market day 😉).

Our bakers and makers have been hard at work preparing for tonight, and we know many of you have been looking forward to stopping by. That being said, please make the best decision for you and your family when it comes to attending. Your safety always comes first.

The Kids Mini Market is also still scheduled for tonight! If the weather makes you uncomfortable heading out, don't worry—we'll be hosting another Kids Mini Market next week, too, so there will be another opportunity for young entrepreneurs to participate.

We'll continue to share any updates if plans change. Until then, we're crossing our fingers, watching the radar, and hoping Mother Nature decides to shop local tonight! ☔🛍️💚

🏌️‍♀️ Office Closed for Golf Fun Day! 🏌️‍♂️

The CACMS office will be closed today as our team participates in the annual Golf Fun Day.

We’d like to extend a huge thank you to our Event Sponsor, Lucas County Health Center for helping make this community event possible. Their support allows us to bring together businesses, community members, and supporters for a day of networking, fun, and fundraising.

Today, Executive Director Mackenzie Stites had the opportunity to present at the Preserve Iowa Summit in Ankeny!

Mackenzie spoke about the importance of engaging youth in the skilled trades and highlighted the incredible impact local students are making right here in Chariton. She shared the work being done through Charger Manufacturing (CHS Metals Class) and the Chariton Construction Academy, showcasing how these programs are helping revitalize our Main Street district while preparing the next generation of skilled workers.

These students aren’t just learning valuable trades—they are making meaningful contributions that strengthen our downtown, support local businesses, and invest in the future of our entire community.

We are proud to share Chariton’s story and celebrate the partnerships, educators, businesses, and students who continue to make these programs a success.
