Thank you to State Representative Sarah Fowler Arthur for her visit to the Geauga County Child Advcocy Center today. We enjoyed educating her on our collaborative efforts between the Geauga County Prosecutor's Office, Geauga County Job and Family Services and Ravenwood Health Services. We work together to provide a safe, child-focused environment where children experiencing child abuse can receive coordinated services and support. The Center brings together a multidisciplinary team of professionals to investigate, prosecute and treat child abuse cases in a coordinated and trauma-informed manner.

IMPERSONATION SCAM ALERT

Victims reported scammers spoofed their bank's phone numbers and led them to believe their account was compromised. They withdrew money and then deposited into what scammers said was a "new" account at their bank. Activity occurred within minutes all at their bank's ATM.

Remember, if you are contacted by who you believe to be your “bank” – they will never ask you to transfer money out of your account or withdraw your money as cash. Pause and go into the local branch and talk to your banker directly or call your local police.
