Several years ago our core group who worked on the Fall Fashion Show shared and passed around a book on Blessed Solanus Casey’s life and the miracles attributed to him. He is believed to become the first American born saint. Several of these ladies have been to the Center more than once and Cathy McGeehan has been-there multiple times over the last 7 years, as her husband Danny (deceased) would ask daily prayers for many people. These Christ Child ladies made the pilgrimage to the Blessed Solanus Casey Center in Detroit, Michigan and were enormously blessed by meeting by meeting and speaking with Paula Medina Zarate, who previously suffered from a genetic disease. She is a retired teacher from Panama who was miraculously healed in 2012, while praying at the tomb of Blessed Solanus Casey, during a week-long Novena. The Christ Child ladies explained to Paula via her translator that they all belonged to The Christ Child Society of Geauga County, Ohio and she blessed and prayed for us. It was truly an amazing day
