🚨🍩 Happy National Donut Day, Chardon! 🍩🚨

When a fresh box finds its way into the station,
the whole room fills up with a quick celebration.
With sprinkles and glaze in a beautiful line,
even the busiest shift turns out just fine.

We know the classic jokes that are always put to the test,
and we have to admit, a good, glazed donut is truly the best!
But in a town like Chardon, we know what matters most:
the people we serve, right here at our hometown posts.

Behind every call and every long day
are officers working hard in their own steady way.
These small moments matter more than they seem,
a quick break, a laugh, and a shared community theme.

So, here’s to a fresh box shared among the crew,
and a quick little pause in a day that’s never quite through.

Stay safe out there, Chardon, keep kindness in view,
and if you’re out and about today, we hope you grab a few! 🍩🍩🍩🍩

Sadly, a pedestrian is killed every 74 minutes in traffic crashes. Remember, at some point in the day EVERYONE is a pedestrian:

πŸšΆβ€βž‘οΈ Follow the rules of the road
πŸšΆβ€βž‘οΈ Use crosswalks when available
πŸšΆβ€βž‘οΈ Walk on sidewalks when available

🚘 Look out for pedestrians and minimize blind spots
🚘 Be careful in hard-to-see conditions
🚘 Yield to pedestrians in crosswalks

Found Property:

If you (mom) and your two young children were on the Square yesterday morning around 11:15 a.m., your daughter accidentally left behind her purse. It was turned in to our station, and we would love to reunite her with it.

We reviewed video footage and were only able to identify that it was a mother with two children and where they were sitting.

Please stop by the station at 111 Water Street to claim it.

A new solicitor's permit for the City of Chardon was issued to a Sebastian Wilson who is soliciting for IGS Energy. Mr. Wilson should have a city issued permit on his person anytime he is out soliciting. He was provided with our most current Do Not Knock List as well.
