🚨📱 CALL IF YOU CAN, TEXT IF YOU CAN'T 📱🚨
Did you know you can text 9-1-1 in an emergency?
While calling 9-1-1 is always the fastest and most effective way to get help, texting is available in situations where making a voice call isn't possible.
✅ Text 9-1-1 if:
• You are deaf, hard of hearing, or have a speech disability
• It is not safe to speak out loud
• You are experiencing a medical emergency and cannot speak
📞 If you can call, call.
📱 If you can't call, text.
When texting 9-1-1:
✔️ Include your exact location first
✔️ Briefly describe the emergency
✔️ Answer all questions from the dispatcher
✔️ Stay with your phone and keep responses short
Remember: Texting 9-1-1 can save lives, but a voice call provides more information and allows dispatchers to get help moving faster.
