We’re moving ahead with plans to build a new Fire Station 4 and make space for an affordable housing development at the intersection of Weaver Dairy Road Ext. and Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd.

“These important projects will help us carry out both our Complete Community strategy and our community safety goals,” said Town Manager Ted Voorhees. “This includes modernizing our facilities and building affordable housing, especially on Town-owned land and along our planned NS RAPID route. I’m thrilled to see these important bond-funded projects come to life.”

The Wallace parking deck is temporarily closed while we repair the fire alarm system. We discovered a problem with the system Tuesday and we’re working to fix it as quickly as possible. Drivers should park at the 125 E. Rosemary St. deck across the street. Learn more: chapelhillnc.gov/wallacedeck
