Communications and media professionals: explore ways to advance your careers with a free live webinar on Sept. 29 at noon.

Assistant Professor Lorra Brown, director of UNC Hussman’s online M.A. in Digital Communication program, will lead a webinar on AI writing and editing, sharing practical workflows for maintaining the human elements of communication when using AI as a strategic partner, editor and co-writer.

The session also includes an overview of UNC Hussman’s online graduate programs and certificates for working professionals, including course previews, curriculum highlights, admission requirements and program timelines.

Hosted by the UNC Center for Media Law and Policy, First Amendment Day on Oct. 7 includes a UNC Voter Registration Drive to help students register to vote, learn about absentee voting options and create a voting plan.

Time is running out to enter the 2026 Carolina Global Photography Competition!

UNC-Chapel Hill students, faculty, staff and alumni are invited to submit photographs that reflect global experiences, connections and perspectives.

UNC Hussman alumna Pasquale Hinrichs captured last year's winning photograph, "Mujeres Luchadoras," during a spring break trip to Argentina as part of "MEJO 584: International Projects."

More than 1,000 participants gathered at Kenan Stadium Friday morning for the annual 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb.

Hosted by the UNC Army ROTC, the event honors the 2,977 lives lost in the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks and recognizes the firefighters, police officers, military members, first responders and civilians who demonstrated extraordinary courage and selflessness that day. Participants climbed 2,071 stairs, representing the 110 floors of the World Trade Center towers.
