This week, students and scholars spent time in the Carmichael Makerspace where they successfully completed the BEAM orientation training.

Now that orientation is complete, they’re ready to get started in training for everything from embroidery and 3D printing to woodworking, metal shop, and laser cutting! The opportunities to ideate and create are truly endless!

Join ISSS and Graduate Student Success to enjoy live music at the Carolina Inn. Fridays on the Front Porch is a weekly event hosted by the Carolina Inn. People from all across the area attend the event for live music and food.

We will have food available while supplies last in the FedEx Global Education Center Atrium from 4:30-4:50pm, please register to ensure we secure enough food. There will also be food and beverages available for purchase at the Carolina Inn.

You will have the opportunity to reflect on your goals for this semester and to celebrate all you've accomplished so far. CAPS staff will be present to help us cast vision for the year and to discuss healthy coping mechanisms in times of stress.

Happy end to week two of Fall term, Tar Heels🐏🩵! It has been wonderful to see campus buzzing with energy. We hope you're enjoying your classes and research, finding your favorite spots on campus, and settling into life in the United States.

As we end week two, we're looking back on one of our favorite traditions: welcoming students and scholars at our annual Ice Cream Social! Thank you to everyone who joined us to connect, celebrate, and start the semester with a sweet treat.
