wasn't Cecilia Moore's first college but it became her home.

After attending the University of Southern California and Durham Technical Community College, Moore transferred to Carolina through C-STEP, which helps community college students transition to the University through advising, mentorship and guaranteed admission opportunities. Now a campus leader and Carolina Football intern, Moore is building a future in physical therapy.

Learn how C-STEP is helping students find their path to Carolina

She started college as a Trojan, but Cecilia Moore is now majoring in exercise and sport science as a Tar Heel.

Students, Faculty, and Staff:
Due to the possibility of severe weather in Orange County and across Central North Carolina on Tuesday, June 23, the University is postponing the Alert Carolina test until Wednesday, June 24, between 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. During the system test, NO ACTION is required.
If further changes to the timing of the test are required, the University will communicate any changes no later than 4 p.m. on Wednesday, June 24 via Alert Carolina.
We test the Outdoor Emergency Sirens and messaging systems regularly throughout the year to make sure the equipment and notification processes work as planned, and to educate our community on what to do in the event of an emergency.
During the test, anyone outside on or near campus will hear the sirens. The sirens are not designed to be heard inside a building or vehicle. The sirens will sound an alert tone along with a brief prerecorded voice message.
Most Alert Carolina Informational messages are sent to notify the campus community of situations that do not pose an immediate threat but may be of significant interest to campus.
For more information about Alert Carolina and updates on alerts, visit alertcarolina.unc.edu.
