🔋 Clear eyes. Full Battery. Can’t Lose. 🔋 Reminder: Mustangs will take their Math IXL beginning of the year (BOY) assessment on Tuesday and Reading IXL BOY assessment on Wednesday this week. Students will take the assessments in their 2nd period class. ⏰ We will run a slightly different bell schedule to give all students time to complete the assessment. ❤️ Our message to students when it comes to all of the assessments they will take is “No stress, just do your best!”. 👍 Families can help, by ensuring that their child:

✅ Gets at least 8 hours of sleep each night
✅Charges their Chromebook overnight
✅If walking, biking or riding in a car, make sure that students are at school no later than 8:15am.

❤️ Hate Has No Place Here ❤️ This year, every Chapel Hill-Carrboro City Schools middle and high school is displaying our “Hate Has No Place Here” posters as a shared commitment to creating school communities where every student and staff member feels safe, seen, valued, and respected.

👀You’ll see these posters throughout our buildings, and we encourage families to talk with their students about what it means to stand together, speak up, and look out for one another.

📲 Each poster includes a QR code that students, families, and staff can use to safely and anonymously report concerns.

Together, we can make sure there is no place for hate in our schools. ❤️

🐴McDougle Middle School PTA Mustang Round Up is BACK! 🐴Every Mustang matters. Every dollar counts. 🌡Raise $20K in just 6 weeks to support 650+ students and 90+ staff! 🌡

🍎Public schools can’t do it alone. Let’s rally together to raise $20K for MMS! In addition to the usual classroom support, student FUN like dance parties and field trip funds, this year's special projects include continuing beautification of the courtyard/recess area and raising half the cost of a new sound system for the cafeteria. These are big ticket items that we need BIG funding to support. Learn more about what your donation will support.

🚗Morning Drop Off Reminder: 🚗All families that drop their student off before 7:50am are asked to drive all the way up to the closest car in the line as opposed to stopping at the middle school
entrance. This will help with ensuring a smooth and orderly arrival for our C&L MES family.🚗 Thanks!

🌸 A little kindness goes a long way! 🌸

Our NJHS members grew some beautiful zinnias in the Turtle Courtyard this year and just placed the blooms in water tubes for our staff to enjoy! 💐We are spreading a little joy by giving a flower to another staff member as a simple act of kindness...and taking some joy for ourselves, too! ❤️

Sometimes the smallest gestures can brighten someone’s whole day. Thank you, NJHS, for helping our school community bloom! 🌺
