Today was a busy day at CMS. We had an attendance challenge 7th vs 8th grade and 7th won it they had the better attendance for two weeks! They were rewarded with 10 extra minutes of lunch and Ice Cream Sandwiches. To close out the day we had our teacher vs students dodgeball and basketball games where the 8th grade soccer and basketball teams had a chance to play against the teachers of CMS! Teachers won both games but everyone had lots of fun! A thank you to our partners in education from Ft. Bliss for joining us today.

Finally a huge thank you to our custodians we honored them today, they truly are the unsung hero’s of any campus. Thank you for keeping our campus clean and shining! We didn’t get a picture of them but we celebrate you ladies!

Dear Gadsden ISD Families,

Heavy rain is expected in our area overnight. Many parts of the district recently received heavy rainfall and experienced flooding and road damage, and more rain could make conditions worse. To give our teams time to assess road conditions, all Gadsden ISD schools will operate on a two-hour delay tomorrow, Tuesday, September 29, 2026.

What this means for your family:
All schools will start two hours later than their regular start time.
Bus routes will also run two hours later than usual.
Afternoon dismissal times are not changing.
