On June 8, city leaders and community partners celebrated the ribbon cutting for Chanhassen's first Community Land Trust home. Thanks to the generosity of longtime resident Ruth Lunde and a partnership among the City of Chanhassen, Habitat for Humanity, the Carver County CDA and Minnesota Housing, the home will create opportunities for generations to come.

Keeping streets clean is critical for water quality. Leaves and debris left on streets wash into storm drains, carrying phosphorus and organic matter into lakes and rivers. This increases algae growth and reduces oxygen levels, harming fish and aquatic life and overall water quality. Street sweeping helps prevent these pollutants from entering our waterways. This is one of the many ways the City of Chanhassen is working to improve water quality.
