What brings a group of young leaders from nearly 2,300 miles away to Chandler?

Building connections, sharing ideas and learning how communities across the country serve their residents. 👏

We were honored to welcome members of the The City of North Miami Youth Council to City Hall this week.

The visit was coordinated by Councilmember Christine Ellis through her involvement with the National Haitian American Elected Officials Network, helping create a connection between Chandler and North Miami. During their visit, students met with Mayor Kevin Hartke, Vice Mayor Angel Encinas and city staff, toured City Hall and learned about local government while exploring educational, civic and business destinations across Arizona .

Thank you to the North Miami Youth Council for visiting Chandler. We enjoyed sharing our community with you and learning from your experiences!
