Although it has not been declared by the Alabama Forestry Commission, we're asking that you please refrain from doing any outside burning, with the lack of rain over the last few weeks everything is very dry and will ignite easily. We would like to thank everyone with your assistance with this and if we get an update from Forestry we will update then.

State Senator Josh Carnley, center, joined local volunteer fire department leaders Thursday night at the Coffee County Commission chambers for the 2025 Volunteer Fire Department Grant presentation, made possible through the Alabama Forestry Commission.

Each year, the Alabama Legislature appropriates funding to support Volunteer Fire Departments across the state—helping improve safety, equipment, and emergency response for the communities they serve.

Senator Carnley shared:

“I am grateful for the dedication of our volunteers to serve their communities and the citizens of Coffee County.”
