The Champaign County Community Coalition, in partnership with Courage Connection, will host the “Breaking the Cycle – Town Hall Event” on Wednesday, February 25th, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The event will be held at Cityview Banquet and Meeting Center, located in the Illinois Terminal (4th Floor), 45 E University Ave., Champaign, Illinois.

Research has proven that regular school attendance has academic benefits that lead to long-term success for our youth, including higher grades, test scores and graduation rates. I’m proud to stand in support with Champaign and Urbana area schools as they celebrate the "Every Student Everyday" initiative to engage students and families in the importance of daily school attendance. I encourage everyone in our communities to join this campaign and make education a top priority for our students.

Thank you to Champaign Unit 4 Schools, Urbana School District #116 and Dr. James Harden – Executive Director of School Improvement for the Champaign Unit 4 School District – for including me in this initiative and for the key role you play every single day in supporting student achievement and long-term success in our communities.

Every Student. Every Day.

Every student deserves the opportunity to learn, grow, and succeed—and it starts with showing up. 📚✨ The Champaign Community Coalition - Walk As One is proud to partner with Champaign Unit 4 Schools and Urbana School District #116 to launch the Every Student. Every Day. campaign, a countywide effort focused on improving attendance and reducing chronic absenteeism.

Consistent school attendance is closely tied to academic success and long-term well-being, and supporting our students takes a true community effort. Together, we can help ensure every student is
present, engaged, and supported.
