⚠️ 14 storm related runs in 1 hour ⚠️

At 4:30pm, the “Adverse Weather Alert” was sent by Franklin County 911. It only took 10 mins for the Green machines to be on the street. Runs handled were wires down, a reported “electrical fire” and a tree that struck a structure. All incidents were minor in nature and no serious injuries/damage reported!

⚠️Squad 41 handles Land Rescue & Pursuit ⚠️

On Thursday, Squad 41 went to Mercersburg Rd after a male fell over an embankment while attempting to re-home a turtle! Multiple companies packaged the patient and worked a 3:1 haul system bringing the patient back to awaiting EMS and subsequent helicopter ride to an area trauma center.
Just after midnight, a vehicle traveling very fast southbound on 81 attempted to elude the Pennsylvania State Police and ended up coming to an abrupt stop on Walker Rd. The squad crew secured the vehicle and assisted EMS with patient care.

🎓🚒 Congratulations, Class of 2026!🚒🎓

As this week comes to a close, several members of the Franklin Fire Company family have crossed or will cross the stage as they celebrate their high school graduation as members of the Class of 2026.

At the Franklins, our Junior Member Program, founded by Michael Preisler, was built on a deep belief that young people can learn the importance of serving their community through the fire service while still prioritizing the importance of education and future goals.

These graduates started their journey with us as Junior Members as many of our members have, and have or will transition into Sr. Members. Along the way, they've balanced family, life, school, sports, jobs, extracurricular activities, and countless hours of training and volunteering with the fire company.

We're proud every year to watch any of our members reach milestones such as this. Graduation is a major accomplishment, and it's rewarding to see these young men and women follow in the footsteps of so many department members before them who have balanced education, service, and community involvement.

While this chapter is coming to a close, their journey with Franklin Fire Company doesn't end here. They'll continue to be familiar faces around the firehouse, at fundraisers and community events, and serving alongside us whenever they can.

From the Officers and Members of the Franklin Fire Company, congratulations and best wishes to all of our graduates. Thank you for carrying on a tradition of service that has been part of the Franklins for generations and, as always, for continuing to "bleed green". 💚🚒

Ladder 42 arrived behind E45, the crew went inside to open up the walls for the engine company. 👩‍🎓 📝 Congratulations to Clara Lopez-Esteban for receiving a scholarship from the Career Magnet PTSA to continue her nursing career.
Although we do not have an ambulance for her to practice patient care, she is a very familiar face at our weekly Bingos & PR Events! Clara really enjoys helping people and she is a joy to have at the firehouse! 🎊 🎉
