9/5/26 - C-Shift - Box 1-02 - 400 Block South 4th Street - Borough of Chambersburg - Auto Accident

Engine 1-2 & Ambulance 1-9 were alerted to the 400 Block of South 4th Street for an auto accident, auto into a dumpster.

Engine 1-2 arrived on the scene to confirm dispatch. Ambulance 1-9 transported 2 for check-up.

Hagerstown Regional Airport (HGR) is seeking volunteers to participate in a full-scale simulated aircraft emergency disaster exercise on Saturday, October 3, 2026, from 7:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

The exercise is designed to evaluate and strengthen the emergency response capabilities of Hagerstown Regional Airport and the agencies and organizations that would respond to a real aircraft emergency. Volunteers will play an important role by portraying passengers and other individuals involved in the simulated incident, allowing participating agencies to test emergency operations from the initial response and medical management through passenger accountability, tracking, and reunification.

9/3/2026 - B shift

0954 HRS - E1-1, E1-3, & TW1 responded for an inside investigation of gas in the 300 blk of Lincoln Way W. Units found gas leaking from a kitchen stove. The appliance was secured and the building was ventilated.

Company 1 units have also handled a fire alarm, wires call, and a pedestrian accident this shift.

8/25/26 - A-Shift - Box 1-01 - 1600 Block of Clinton Avenue - Borough of Chambersburg - House Fire

Company 1 & mutual aide responded to the 1600 Block of Clinton Avenue for a house fire.

Engine 1-1 arrived to find heavy fire from the garage, initiated the working fire dispatch and established Command 1

Crews working to vent the roof, primary and secondary searches complete, I dog found and removed, 1 patient being evaluated by EMS and fire has been knocked at this time. Crews starting overhaul operations.

8/20/26 - C-Shift - Box 1-01 - 700 Block of Broad Street - Borough of Chambersburg - Appliance Fire

Company 1 & Mutual aide were dispatched and responded to the 700 Block of Broad Street for a reported kitchen fire.

Engine 1-1 went on the scene and reported a 2 1/2 story duplex with smoke showing from the second floor.

Crews deployed a 2 inch line and made entry to the rear of the structure to find fire throughout the kitchen and heavy hoarding conditions.

Chief 1 (Ulrich) arrived on the scene, initiated the working fire dispatch and established Command 1. Crews were able to quickly get a knock on the fire and began overhaul operations.

All residents were able to get out of the house safely prior to fire department arrival. Crews operated for approx 3 hours before going available.

8/18/26 - Landing Zone - Box 1-02 - E1-2 & A1-7

Units handled a landing zone at Andrew Buchanan Elementary while the helipad at Chambersburg Hospital was occupied.
