Chama Valley Humane Society will be set up at the Chama Valley Art Festival.

Founded in 1998, the Chama Humane Society provides "no-kill solutions to reduce the population of homeless cats and dogs by sponsoring a spay and neuter program for companion pets and feral cats, working with regional shelters and foster homes to rehabilitate and rehome animals, and educating those in the community we serve about responsible pet ownership." They provide free annual shot clinic as well as a pet pantry every 3rd Saturday of each month to help provide for pets in low income households.

The organization is 100% volunteer-run and relies entirely on raising funds through fundraising, private donations, and grants. Stop by their booth to show your support for their mission in our community as well as check out what great artworks they will have for sale.
