For Parish President

Commitment.
I want to assure all that my dedication to our parish has never been stronger. I will work tirelessly to ensure that the NOLA Port which our present leaders allowed to move forward, is quickly ended. If allowed, it will devastate our way of life.

Safety.
The first job of government is to keep its citizens safe. I will work with the Sheriff’s Office so that they can continue to do their jobs knowing that they have the backing of local government. Having a good quality education is important to every community, I will work with the School Board to ensure that our children can learn in a safe environment.

Creativity.
My vision for the future of St. Bernard includes nature trails and improved recreation facilities so that our families can enjoy outdoor leisure activities. We will work to secure grants and bond money to fix our street drainage that continues to fail despite what seems like an endless cycle of patches instead of permanent repairs. We will make sure that we will be prepared for all emergencies, whether it’s a hurricane or a salt wedge that threatens our water supply.

Innovations.
I will explore many new ways to attract and keep dedicated, honest, qualified, and motivated personnel. I believe that it is our job to provide high quality and efficient services to all our citizens, not just the ‘chosen’ well connected few. We will look to attract business that will be good for both the community and the environment. From day one, we will be transparent, accessible, and accountable.

Trust.
I trust our citizens to know what’s best for themselves and their families. Vote your conscience if you want to see independent real change not dictated by those already in government.

Thank you.
It has been a privilege to speak with so many of you about the issues that are so important to us. For those that I have not yet had the opportunity meet with, I hope that I can earn your vote at some point.

Thanks for your support and prayers.

For Parish President

Good evening, my name is Emile Pellittieri. I’m a lifelong resident of St. Bernard. I graduated form Chalmette High in 1980. Shortly thereafter, I started and built my own construction business.
I’ve been involved as a community activist for over 45 years, sometimes behind the scenes and many more times in the forefront. People or community first is a campaign slogan to some, but for me it’s been a commitment. Transparency will be evident in my administration from day one, if I’m elected.
I do not owe anyone any favors; they do not own me. I have not lived off the taxpayers dime for years claiming to know all the ins and outs, while taking credit all that is good and then denying blame for anything that is not popular.
There are several things about our Parish government that served as a catalyst for my entering the race. First, the Port is at our door. It did not happen all of a sudden, it was greenlighted by those in our government, I will make sure that we do everything to stop this destructive endeavor. Second, Sold St. Bernard was a program that took care of the ‘chosen’ with political connections. Most of us small local businesses were not given a fair chance to participate in the program. Next, the Community Playground that was built in 2003 as a legacy to the children of St. Bernard and rebuilt in 2007 with thousands of volunteers and tens of thousands of volunteer hours that was destroyed by parish government in 2018. Finally, in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, the ‘chosen’ very select well connected businesses received favors. It doesn’t matter how much they try to dress it up, business failed, families were displaced and torn apart, with lives destroyed from corrupt policies. This can not happen again. We are always one storm away from a repeat.
It doesn’t matter if you have deep roots here or have recently arrived, if you came looking for a safe peaceful life, we welcome you to our wonderful family. Remember that St. Bernard is on of those “small towns” that they talk about. I would like to see our community lead the way with a quality of life, education, and safety that will make us the envy of the metropolitan area with everyone working together.
Please get involved, engaged, and demand accountability from those in office.
Thanks for your support and prayers.

NO!!! NOLA Port in St. Bernard
Emile Pellittieri
Parish President – For a Better St. Bernard
Goals and Vision
I’m running for Parish President because I was fortunate to grow up and raise my family here. After Hurricane Katrina, I immediately started to rebuild and was back in our home in 4 months. I am committed to ensuring that my kids and grand-kids have the same opportunity.
I’m an avid hunter and fisherman. I enjoy all that our parish has to offer. I have been against NOLA Port since it was first proposed because it will benefit New Orleans at the expense of St. Bernard. Like the MRGO it’s destined to be an environmental disaster as well.
I have not worked for parish government and I am not a professional politician. This port project does not belong to me, but I will do everything I can to stop it. I do not owe anyone any favors, so they don’t own me. I will be independent and if elected I will make parish government accountable and accessible to everyone, not just the privileged few. I want to make parish government easier for small business to start up and flourish.
I will work with the St. Bernard Parish Sheriff’s Office to enact ordinances so that they can do their job of keeping us safe.
I will work with the St. Bernard Parish Fire Department to re-open the “down-the-road” stations so that everyone will have access to the services when they are needed.
I will work the St. Bernard School Board to ensure that our children have a safe learning environment necessary for a quality education.

People of St Bernard:

If you are looking for a candidate with strong conservative values, I’m the guy. I’m an avid hunter and fisherman, I strongly support the 2nd Amendment. I support free speech, even speech on views that I may disagree with. I promise that parish government will be open and respectful to the views of everyone. I believe in limited government so I am fiscally conservative. I believe the parish needs to cut wasteful spending. I support our local police and fire departments. I do volunteer work with the Sheriff’s office trustee program. As a graduate of St. Bernard parish public schools, I support our teachers and the job they do. I will do everything that I can to ensure that our children have a safe environment in school so that they may learn. I am strongly Pro-Life, I have six grand children and two of them were micro-preemies that were delivered at a stage some people believe is unviable, yet they are thriving today. When people ask why I’m running, it’s easy--- I’m in this race so that my kids and grandkids can continue to enjoy all that our parish has to offer. This port proposal has been discussed for years, with many of our elected officials either supporting it or simply offering no opposition as it advanced. Now these same politicians are saying they are against it because it’s now politically advantageous. For my kids/grandkids and yours, I will do everything that I can as Parish President to see that this project does not see the light of day.

Thanks for your support and prayers.
