ABCUSD’s Migrant Education Program provides a wealth of educational opportunities to our students and their parents (pre-school through adult school). The focus of the Migrant Education Program is English-language arts and Math support and enrichment for students. Additionally, Migrant Education provides the following support programs for students and parents of all ages: Migrant Education School
Readiness for pre-school age students at Furgeson elementary, tutoring services at Aloha, Niemes, Furgeson, and Artesia High school. The Cyber High credit recovery program is offered at Artesia and Gahr High Schools. Our Student/Parent Migrant Education Center on the campus of Furgeson elementary provides numerous parent workshops and activities. One of our programs, Saturday School, has expanded to serve 300 students at four school sites: Furgeson, Melbourne, Niemes, and our new location, Fedde Middle school. In total, our Migrant Education Program services over 1,400 students in ABCUSD.
