A Delegates job is to serve its people and do what is best for them that allow them to thrive and help them succeed and survive. Ive seen the posts about the clean water bill and being angry is a understatement. Clean water is a basic right to not only humans but all of this earths creatures. Its our job to take care of our mountain moma and her people. Im furious at this that this was voted down. I want to see a better cleaner west virginia. What I hope to accomplish.

Severe financial penalties, with no loopholes, for companies and individuals that cause environmental damage.

Recycling programs that can help create jobs and make west virginia cleaner and better.

As Captain Planet always said The power is your's.

After two attemps of trying to speak at Huntington City Hall on the subject of the TTA levy, the city council has once again decided to postpone deciding on whether or not to change the TTA levy and put it on the ballot on May 12th.

More than 30 people including myself, were there to speak on the topic. However, our voices where silenced when members of the council, at the mayor's behest, voted to postpone the voting on the levy until Friday at 4pm; a time when many people are unable to attend. This delay only serves to further the mayor's goal of using the levy as leverage against the TTA concering Pullman Square. I am unable to attend the metting this Friday due to prior engaments; down below is what I had planned to say in support of the levy.

Hello everyone,

Thank you for the opportunity to speak. My name is William Caudill, and as a candidate for the West Virginia House of Delegates, I cannot stand by as this issue affects my constituents.

The role of government is to serve all of its citizens, and one important responsibility is to provide public transportation. This ensures that everyone can access vital areas such as workplaces, hospitals, grocery stores, and their homes. Additionally, it allows residents to reach neighboring towns and other retailers that contribute to our local economy. Failing to address these transportation needs does a disservice to our town and its people.

Attempting to change the funding is not only a sign of a lack of compassion for our community but also shows a disregard for the citizens and the people who serve them. You should be ashamed of this. The levy should remain unchanged for the benefit of not only Huntington but also Barboursville and my home, Ceredo. Removing the people's right to vote on this issue demonstrates a disregard for those it affects and reveals a focus on personal gain. Public money shouldn't go to funding a private enterprise. It's not the public's fault if someone is behind on rent. I implore you to pass this levey unchanged.

In any situation, the best thing you can do is the right thing. Thank you.

I've had a few hours to think about this and I believe I need to speak out on the current situation that has occurred in Minneapolis and give my personal stance.

I'm filled with anger and sorrow; sorrow for the family that lost their son and anger at the circumstances which led to this tragedy. I want to cry because this is not right. This was not about immigration. This was about control, there was no trial, there was no due process, this was a straight-up ex*****on. Regardless of which side of the political spectrum you fall in, we should be able to agree that this man did not deserve to have his rights violated and his life taken.

As someone who is entering the political world I want to be diplomatic and hear both sides, but as someone who grew up in West Virginia and has learned her history I am angry beyond belief. I want to see laws that will protect our people and make sure that any federal agents who are sent here are held to a stricter standard.

I understand these are uncertain times and it scares me too and it angers me even more that we are in this mess. We need to make a change, as West Virgnians and as Americans. I want a better place that my friends, my family and everyone can be safe and not have to worry about what's going on in the current political climate.

Everyone be safe and don’t take any unnecessary risks, remember your rights. But to end this I will say rest in peace to my fellow union brother, Alex Jeffrey Pretti.

Today I had the privilege of getting to spend some time volunteering with workers of AEP and the city of Wayne.

Wayne County has had a bad water contamination incident, leaving many people without water, right before a major snow storm. We spent our time helping filling water jugs, buckets, and containers for anyone in need.

This shows one of our core values as West Virginians; when times are tough and people need help, the community will step in and help-out.

Also remember that no matter the situation or the weather we need to thank the people who are out there making sure the power stays on and take the time to help your neighbor.

Be safe during the upcoming storm and don’t take any unnecessary risks. Think like a rescue hero, think safe.

With today being Martin Luther King Jr. Day I would like to give a little inspiration from the man himself. "If you can't fly then run, if you can't run then walk, if you can't walk then crawl, but whatever you do you have to keep moving forward."

In these times it’s important that we look to the past to see the future. But more importantly we need the wisdom of the past to not only guide us but to inspire us into keeping vigilante with the fight of the current animosity of this age .

It will get better but only when we stand together and fight for what is right. Only then will we have the power to change. So i ask you this, will you stand with me as we keep pushing toward a better tomorrow as he did?
