About Me:
My name is Jarred Keith “P-nut” Kornegay, and Bibb County is home in every sense of the word. My family has been here for generations, and we’ll be here for generations to come. I am the son of Ronnie and Jerri Kornegay, and the grandson of the late Welford and Susie Kornegay and the late Harris and Oneida Tucker. Those names mean something here—and they’ve shaped the values I carry with me every day: hard work, faith, and taking care of your neighbors.
I’m a graduate of Bibb County High School and Lurleen B. Wallace Community College, where I earned my degree in forestry. I chose to come back home because this community matters to me. Today, I work with the Alabama Forestry Commission, and I serve as a volunteer firefighter for the Eoline community. As a firefighter in the county, when there’s a call for help, I answer it.
Through my work, I’ve been on just about every road in this county. I know what shape they’re in, and I know how important safe, dependable infrastructure is to the people who live here.
My wife, Lynnette, is a registered nurse who has spent most of her career caring for the people of Bibb County. Together, we are raising our two children, Kolt and Adalee, right here at home.
I’m not running because of politics or promises—I’m running because I care about this county and the people in it. I believe in doing what’s right, being honest, and showing up when it matters.
When it’s time to vote, I ask you to vote for the person you 𝒌𝒏𝒐𝒘—the one you see at the grocery store, the one whose family you’ve known for generations. Vote for the person you’ll see at the ball field, and the one who will answer the call when there’s a fire.
Vote for someone who’s not going anywhere—because this is home.
