The Western Fairfax Christian Ministries Walk to End Hunger is an event within an event - have you signed up yet?

Your day starts with a community-building breakfast, followed by a ride to the Centreville Day parage staging area where you'll walk shoulder to shoulder with over 100 big-hearted neighbors who have already registered, bringing up the rear of the parade.

Ready to be a hometown hero? Join this season's CERT program!

Fairfax County will be hosting Hands-On Basic CERT training running every Thursday from 7 to 10 pm beginning February 12 and going until March 19 with a final exercise on March 28. Fairfax County CERT trains residents to safely help themselves, their families, and their neighbors during emergencies. In an emergency situation, first responders may be delayed, overwhelmed, or unable to reach local neighborhoods right away. CERT volunteers are trained to bridge that gap by providing lifesaving skills, basic medical aid, light search and rescue, and organized support until professional responders arrive.
