Incident: Reckless Endangerment
On 09/12 deputies responded to the Chestertown Royal Farms for a report of a road rage incident. The victims advised two unknown suspects had insulted them, leading to an argument. The suspects then looped in the parking lot, accelerating towards the victims, nearly striking them.
Incident: Assist Outside Agency
On 09/12 deputies assisted Maryland State Police with a shots fired call near Evans Avenue and Hess Road in Grasonville. Deputies assisted with searching the area for the reported suspects, with negative results.
Incident: Malicious Destruction of Property
On 09/12 deputies responded to Safe Harbor Marna for a report of malicious destruction of property. The Dockmaster advised a vehicle containing a group of unknown individuals was captured on camera driving into the marina’s entrance gate at approximately 3:00AM. Multiple passengers were then observed attempting to manually push the gate open, without success.
Incident: Assist Outside Agency
On 09/11 deputies responded to the Centreville YMCA to assist CPD with an assault in progress. Upon arrival deputies made contact with a juvenile who advised he had been jumped by multiple unknown suspects who fled. The juvenile victim was taken into custody for an active warrant and criminal summons.
Incident: Mail Theft/ Fraud
On 09/11 Deputy Kane took a walk-in report for mail fraud. The victim advised in late August he wrote a check for over $4,200 and sent it in the mail. While in transit it was stolen, manipulated, and cashed in. The case was referred to the Postal Inspector.
Incident: Theft
On 09/10 DFC Williams responded to the Levi's Store at the Queenstown Outlets for a report of theft. The manager stated on the previous Sunday a group of unknown females stole 90 (yes 90) pairs of pants.
Incident: Fraud
On 09/08 Deputy Kane took a walk-in report for fraud. The victim advised he received a notice from collections for an over $300 charge from AT&T that was never paid by an account in his name.
Incident: Theft/ MDOP
On 09/07 deputies responded to Switchgrass Way in Chester for a report of past theft. The victim advised that while looking at the community storage rack he observed his canoe to be missing and lock to be cut.
Incident: Assault
On 09/06 deputies responded to the Jetty for a report of a large fight involving 15+ people. An investigation revealed seven parties to have been involved in a fight on the dance floor that continued outside. All parties were referred to the Commissioner's Office.
