Queen Anne’s County Parks and Recreation is advising residents and visitors of upcoming repair work along portions of the Cross Island Trail.

Beginning Tuesday, September 8, a contractor will perform repairs along the trail from Love Point Park to the Kent Narrows. Work is expected to continue for up to two weeks and is weather dependent.

The entire trail will not be closed during the project. Instead, temporary closures will be limited to the specific areas where crews are actively working each day. Work zones are expected to cover approximately one-half mile at a time, depending on the location and type of repair.

Trail users should use caution, follow posted signs and avoid entering active work areas. Sections of the trail outside the designated work zones will remain available for use.

Queen Anne’s County appreciates the public’s patience and cooperation while these repairs are completed to maintain and improve the Cross Island Trail. For concerns or more information, contact the Department of Parks and Recreation 410-758-0835
