4Legz Dog Treats: A Local Business with a Mission
The Port of Centralia is proud to spotlight 4legz Dog Treats, a disability- and woman-owned small business manufacturing healthy dog treats at their facility in Port of Centralia Park I.
What began more than 15 years ago in a home kitchen and garage has grown into a company that now produces premium dog treats for customers across the United States. Their treats are made with simple, wholesome, human-grade ingredients, real fruits and vegetables, and are proudly Non-GMO Project Verified. Every batch is baked with the belief that dogs deserve food made from trustworthy ingredients.
4Legz has also partnered with Chehalis Mint to create a unique line of mint-flavored dog treats, combining two local businesses into one tail-wagging product.
Founded by deaf entrepreneur and former educator Cynthia Murray, 4Legz is built on the idea that businesses can create opportunities for everyone. Throughout its growth, the company has employed individuals from diverse backgrounds, including people with disabilities, while supporting animal rescues and nonprofit organizations throughout the region.
Like many small manufacturers, 4Legz has faced challenges from rising costs, economic uncertainty, and increased competition. Community support plays an important role in helping the company continue manufacturing locally, creating jobs, and growing its mission.
You can find 4Legz products at local retailers including Doggie Designs Pet Grooming, Totally Pawsome, and Pacific NW Pet Center, as well as online at www.4Legz.com. Their new subscription service makes it easy for pet parents to keep treats stocked while supporting a local manufacturer committed to quality, inclusion, and community.
