We had another great morning visiting the Centralia Regional Library and working with Legos and puzzles. Thanks to the great staff at the library for allowing us another great day in our community.

Kaskaskia Workshop, Inc. employees toured Big 3 Precision today to learn more about the company’s products and operations.

Thank you to Russ Allen and Roger Heinzman for serving as gracious tour guides and sharing the great work happening at Big 3.

Congratulations to Anthony C. on celebrating three years of employment at Monken Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram in Centralia. Anthony washes cars for the dealership two days a week and does an excellent job. We are proud of Anthony and grateful to Monken’s for their continued support of him and our Community Integrated Employment Program. Summer interns play a vital role at KWI. Last week, our individuals thanked our summer workers for a wonderful summer by presenting them with gift bags as a token of appreciation. We hope all the interns have a great 2026 school year.

Yesterday, we had a great experience touring Centralia House Restaurant and meeting Chef Aaron. Our individuals and staff learned how a professional kitchen operates and gained insight into working in a high-end restaurant. We learned about expediting orders, serving meals, and the demands of restaurant work. Chef Aaron was an excellent host and explained many aspects of the restaurant to our group. Thanks for hosting us.
