Tonight, members of Station 10 had the honor of pushing in the new Engine 1001 into service. The push in ceremony dates back to the 1800s. When crews returned from calls by horse-drawn equipment, the animals were unable to back it in. Members would detach the animals and push the equipment into the bay. We are proud to continue on that tradition today. A huge thank you to the citizens of Boone County.

Last evening at the 52nd BCFPD Annual Recognition Banquet, Station 10 was awarded the Heavyweight Trophy for this year. Station 10 donated the most weight to the Food Bank. Pictured is Battalion Chief Kurt Doolady and Station 10 firefighter Todd Johnson. Thank you to everyone that helped out this year for this wonderful cause.

Station 10 handed out candy in Centralia this afternoon. It was wonderful to have such a great turnout.

Last night we were honored to be invited back to National Night Out in Centralia. Big thanks to FF Roberts and Grubb for helping with the event. Also, a big thanks to Officer Stoebe of Centralia PD for inviting us back again this year. We always enjoy the opportunity to show the apparatus to the citizens of Boone County. Thanks to everyone that showed up last night.

This evening we had the privilege to promote one of our residents. Firefighter/EMT Karson Roberts finished all requirements to obtain his red helmet. Congratulations Karson on a job well done! We are proud of you.
