Let's talk about garbage, civility, Trick or Train on Main and, yes, construction noise.

All of that and more in this week's Mayor's Desk newsletter.

P.S. For those of you who've clicked the link to the resolution and couldn't access it, I apologize. I've updated the permissions on that document, so it's available now.

Questions about your water usage? This is a long post, but I promise it's worth your while. Read on...

The Town of Central now offers an online service you can use to monitor your usage, get real-time alerts, watch for leaks, and more. It is a great tool to keep you informed on this important service, and I highly recommend you take advantage of it.

To sign up for this service, visit

https://eyeonwater.com/account/signin

Click on that link, and let's walk through the process step by step.

1. From the home page, click on "Create Account."

2. On the next page, enter your zip code and account number, (which is located on the bottom of your bill, on the left-hand corner) then click "Next."

3. On the next page, you should see "We have located the following account" followed by your name and address. Confirm the information is correct, then click "Next."

4. On the next page, enter your full name, email address, and create a password. Read the Terms of Use, click the box to agree, and then click "Next."

5. The site will then notify you that it has sent a verification email to your email address. Check your email, and click on the link it provides. That link will take you to a login page.

6. On the login page, enter your email address and the password you just created to access your water usage dashboard. (Note: it will ask you if you want to set up water leak alerts.)

Once you've accessed the dashboard, you'll see your name, address, account number and meter ID. On that same page, you'll see your water usage for the last 7 days, previous 7 days, and your 30-day average (in gallons.)

Finally, you can see how much water you use by the minute, hour, day, week, month, or year. And it's updated in real time, so you always know exactly how much water you're using. As an added bonus, there's a free app for both iPhone and Android devices, so you can check on it from from your phone or tablet.

If you have any questions, please call Town Hall at (864) 639-6381.
