Woodbury PD and Orange & Rockland are currently operating at an incident involving a motor vehicle accident and a damaged utility pole near the intersection of State Route 32 and Ford Ave.

State Route 32 is closed between County Route 105 and Timber Trail. Power in the area is expected to be out for an extended amount of time.

Today marks the 25th anniversary of the September 11th attacks. As we reflect on the lives lost and remember where we were on that tragic day, the Woodbury Police Department will participate in a 9/11 remembrance ceremony, being held at the Woodbury Fire Department (455 RT 32 Highland Mills NY) at 7:00 PM tonight. We invite you to join us in honoring and remembering those who perished. May the memories of the lost rest in eternal peace.

Homicide Suspect Captured in the Town of Woodbury

A man wanted on multiple homicide charges in Pennsylvania was arrested Saturday near Walmart after police say LPR Cameras flagged the vehicle he was riding in. Woodbury Police identified the suspect as Amaury Rosado-Laboy, 43, who was wanted by Reading police on charges including two counts of first-degree murder.

Woodbury Police Officers conducted a felony traffic stop and took him into custody without incident. The arrest involved the Woodbury Police Department, assisted by the Harriman Police Department, Monroe Police Department, and the New York State Police.

Rosado-Laboy was charged in Orange County as a fugitive from justice and is being held in the Orange County Jail pending extradition to Pennsylvania.
