IMPORTANT!!!

The auction is on Saturday, February 25th, but the last day to purchase tickets with dinner is Monday the 20th, which is just around the corner! Trust us, you will not want to miss dinner!

The beef option is tender and juicy steak slow-cooked in Caribbean spices, peppers, green olives and capers. Our vegetarian (vegan) version is a Jamaican coconut curry made with house-toasted and ground spices, jackfruit, peppers, and black-eyed peas. Both are served with Brazilian-style black beans, coconut saffron rice, collard greens, Brazilian cheesy biscuits (GF), and a beautiful side salad.

8th grader Bridget Furrer and her classmates contributed to the class’s monthly chalk drawing, as they learned about and celebrated Día de los Mu***os. Great work, Raven class!

In Waldorf education, chalk drawings serve as an anchor for the curriculum being taught, which may include botany, ancient and local history, algebra, chemistry, and many other subjects. They provide a visual connection to the material, and allow students to explore their imagination. Art infuses most everything we do, which can help set the mood for the class, and create a beautiful and welcoming space for learning. Medford School District 549C

We are seeking a grades teacher who has a deep love of children and of teaching, as well as a sense of purpose in bringing Waldorf education into the public realm. We currently have open positions in both 1st grade and 3rd grade for the 2022-2023 school year.

Our Ideal Candidate would have:

Experience or training with Waldorf teaching methods/pedagogy
Experience teaching elementary school
Excellent classroom management skills based on developing the children’s intrinsic motivation and which address the whole child
Openness to continue with their class through the grades
Strong sense of self and striving to be a model of kindness, beauty, and love for the students
Willingness to collaborate and be in integral part of the larger school community

In addition, teachers are expected to integrate Waldorf pedagogy and teaching methods with Common Core and state standards. As a school, we value collaboration, equity, social justice, and community.
