The following were recognized at last evening's Board of Education Meeting: It was moved by Kennedy, seconded by Zikmund, to recognize: Andy Vaughn 3rd Place National SkillsUSA, Karter Negus (state golf qualifier), Baseball Awards: Connor Erickson (All-State), Colbyn Peters (All-State), Parker Zikmund (All-State HM), Quinn Jensen (All-State HM), Luke Vakiner (All-State HM), Kayden Morner (All-State HM), State Track Placers and Qualifiers: Kaden VanPelt, Hope Paup (2nd Discus, 3rd Shot Put), Ava Call (6th 4x400), Wyatt Dent (Champion Long Jump, Champion 100m, 7th 4x100), Amelia Buhlke, Tatum Campa (6th 4x400), Turner Hanke, Jacob Brazee (7th 4x100), Damien Malachias (7th 4x100), Callyn Duerksen (6th 4x400), Sydni Homolka (6th 4x400), Payton Coplen, Cash McLaughlin (7th 4x100), Bass Luebbe, and Harold Senkible. Motion carried 5-0. Ayes: Heins, Homolka, Kennedy, Wagner, and Zikmund. Nays: None. Absent: Buhlke.

A tornado warning was issued at 4:36 PM for Merrick County. The dome opened at 4:37 and is currently open for those seeking shelter. The storm appears to be moving northeast of Central City, but the dome will remain open until the warning is lifted for Merrick County.
