🚧 INFRASTRUCTURE UPDATE | HOOPER/SULLIVAN ROUNDABOUT 🚧

Mayor Wade Evans met with LADOTD officials today to review the preliminary layout for the Hooper Road/Sullivan Road roundabout project.

The preliminary design is progressing well, with a few updates being made before coordination begins with utility providers. The proposed layout includes a bypass lane for southbound traffic traveling from Hooper Road onto Sullivan Road, designed to improve traffic flow through this important intersection.

Mayor Evans expressed his appreciation for the progress being made on infrastructure projects throughout Central, crediting the City’s team and its strong partnerships with LADOTD and other agencies.

Continued collaboration, planning, and persistence are moving important infrastructure projects forward for the City of Central.

Our friends at Rae of Hope are reaching out because they are in need of auction items and attendees for the Rae of Hope Gala in Denham Springs, on October 2nd!
Rae of Hope supports individuals in recovery from substance abuse by providing basic necessities and resources to help them STAY in recovery. This includes hygiene products, bedding, Bibles, resume-writing classes, and so much more.
They are looking for both live and silent auction items, and anything you would be willing to donate would be such a blessing! Whether it’s you, your family, church group, business, or someone you know who may be willing to contribute, please let them know. They would be happy to arrange to pick up donations this week.
And of course, they would love to have you join them at the gala as well!
People in recovery matter. Let’s show them that we believe in them, support them, and believe in their future. ❤️

We’re so proud of the students who chose to participate in this amazing class. You’ll never know when the unexpected might happen and they’ll have to jump in action.

We are also so grateful to Louisiana Firefighters Foundation for all they do for our younger citizens by teaching them the safety procedures so they’ll be prepared. Y’all are the best! Thanks again!

Today, the City of Central remembers the lives lost on September 11, 2001, and honors the heroes who showed extraordinary courage in the face of tragedy.

May we never forget their sacrifice and the unity that brought our nation together.

We remember. We honor. We will never forget.
