Today we celebrated an exciting new space with a ribbon cutting for the new Muhlenberg County Visitor Center information kiosk located inside Casey's General Store in Central City!
This collaborative project between the Central City Tourism Commission, Greenville Tourism Commission, Muhlenberg County Tourism Commission, Felix E. Martin Jr. Foundation and Casey's General Store creates a valuable first point of contact for visitors entering our community from Exit 58.
The interactive digital kiosk provides information on attractions, lodging, dining, events, outdoor recreation, shopping, and unique experiences throughout Muhlenberg County. Visitors can also access printed brochures and tourism materials to take with them as they explore our communities.
While this location is not intended to replace our existing tourism offices or welcome centers, it serves as an important gateway for travelers who may never make it into those locations. By connecting visitors with opportunities across the county, this partnership helps drive visitation to our downtown districts, local businesses, parks, lakes, attractions, restaurants, and community destinations.
The Chamber is proud to celebrate partnerships like this that strengthen tourism, support economic development, and showcase everything that makes Muhlenberg County a great place to visit, live, work, and play. This project demonstrates what can be accomplished when organizations work together to create a seamless visitor experience and promote all corners of our community.
"Visitors don't see city or county lines, they see DESTINATIONS!"
Bravo! to everyone involved in bringing this vision to life.
