October is Women in Business Month, and the Greater Muhlenberg Chamber is excited to celebrate the women who lead, inspire, and make a difference in the business community!

Join us for our October Membership Meeting as we welcome Katy Groves Mussat, co-owner of Farmer & Frenchman in Henderson, Kentucky, as our guest speaker.

Katy and her husband, Hubert, founded Farmer & Frenchman and have spent the past decade transforming an undeveloped piece of farmland into a thriving destination featuring a winery, restaurant, event venue, lodging, agriculture, wellness, and unique experiences.

With a PhD in anthropology, a background in higher education, and years of experience as an entrepreneur and hospitality professional, Katy brings a unique perspective to business and leadership. Her journey is a great example of finding confidence, embracing opportunities, adapting to challenges, and turning an idea into something meaningful.

We look forward to hearing Katy’s story as we celebrate Women in Business Month and the incredible women making an impact throughout Western Kentucky!

This morning, the Greater Muhlenberg Chamber of Commerce was honored to be present in support of the No One Walks Alone Butterfly Memorial Walk. Muhlenberg Mental Health & Su***de Prevention Coalition

Thank you to the organizers, community partners, volunteers, and everyone who came out to remember loved ones, support one another, and bring awareness to mental health and su***de prevention in our community.

It was a beautiful reminder of what can happen when a community comes together with compassion and care.

💗 PINK OUT, Workforce Solutions & SUCCESS for Muhlenberg! 💗

Today’s Chamber meeting, we were honored to welcome Melanie Tapp with Madisonville Community College Workforce Solutions, who shared how they partner with employers and individuals through workforce solutions, training and education to help businesses maintain, grow and succeed.

With the exciting announcement of new economic development and growth in our community, the resources available through MCC Workforce Solutions couldn’t come at a better time. As we ramp up training, employment and workforce development, these tools and partnerships will be critical to preparing our people and businesses for what’s ahead. A special thank-you to our meal sponsor Baptist Health Deaconess Medical Group for our PINK OUT tables, and to everyone who came dressed in pink! As we prepare to welcome October as Breast Cancer Awareness month, we want YOU to participate in painting the town PINK!

Our VP, Carla Embry, also introduced the Better Together initiative from the Muhlenberg County Board of Education, encouraging businesses to show school spirit, decorate windows, volunteer or partner with a nonprofit on September 25.

We also welcomed our newest Chamber members: Keira Elitzer of Dead Nettle Creek, Michelle Lear of Scattered Squirrel Studios, and Teresa Brand of Staybridge Suites of Bowling Green. We’re so glad you’re part of our Chamber family!

Congratulations to Ray Hagerman from MEGA, winner of two passes to Jason Crabb’s The Christmas Tour at Felix E. Martin Jr. Hall! Tickets are now available for purchase on the website.
