In honor of “Senior Sunday” we are pleased to announce the 2021 recipient of the Terry Vick Memorial Scholarship. We had the honor of presenting Miss Lexie Miller with the $2,500 scholarship check in her greenhouse over the weekend.

Lexie will be attending Murray State University where she will major in Agriscience Technology with an emphasis in communications. She has been a member of the MCHS dance time for the entirety of her high school career, having served as Captain for the last year. Lexie is extremely active in the Muhlenberg County FFA. While in FFA, she has won numerous awards, honors, and grants. Some of her most prized accomplishments in FFA are a $5,000 SAE grant, Regional Star in Agribusiness, along with various speaking and judging contests. During the 2019-2020 year Lexie served as Chapter Reporter. This past year was spent serving as the 2020-2021 Chapter Vice-President. She says that FFA has allowed her the opportunity to open her own greenhouse business, Lou Lou’s Mums and More, that she owns and operates. It’s here that she grows spring flowers and vegetable slips while also selling mums and pumpkins in the fall. In 2016, Miss Miller joined the Bremen Volunteer Fire Department as a Junior fire fighter. She first started at the age of 14 and completed the program when she turned 18 in November of 2020. Upon completion Lexie was able to join the department as a full firefighter. She feels that becoming a firefighter has allowed her to not only gain skills and certifications, such as first aid and CPR, but it has also allowed her to fulfill her greatest passion in life, serving others.

Lexie has a true servants heart and spirit, and we are excited to see where the future will carry her! Congratulations Lexie ⭐️
