Today Mrs. Claudia Mordecai was recognized at the Texas FFA Convention as the Star Administrator for Area IX. We are so thankful for her support of our program. We also watched as Mr. Tommy Neyland was recognized on stage as a Past State FFA Officer.

Centerville FFA members Amarius Phillips, Kutter Rodell, and Gavin VanReenen were awarded their Texas FFA Lone Star Degree today in Fort Worth, at the Texas FFA Convention.

The Lone Star FFA Degree recognizes FFA members who have received the Chapter degree, been active FFA members for at least two years, completed at least four semesters of agricultural science at or above the ninth grade level, maintained a supervised agricultural experience (SAE) program, demonstrated their leadership skills, and have shown a commitment to the FFA through involvement at the chapter level and above.

Today we attended the Sam Houston District FFA Convention in Crockett. Addison Hamilton won Star Greenhand in Production and will advance to Area next week! We are so proud of her. Our voting delegates elected a new district officer team and two area officers.
